Second POTRU cohort heads to Rwanda for training

Ten officers from the Seychelles Police Force’s Public Order and Tactical Response Unit (POTRU) departed Seychelles on Saturday, July 11, 2026, for a six‑month intensive training programme in Rwanda – the second cohort to benefit from this specialised capacity‑building initiative.
Commissioner of Police Godfra Hermitte and POTRU deputy Commanding Officer, Assistant Superintendent Vincent Marie, saw the officers off at the airport, wishing them success as they embarked on this important phase of their professional development.
