Seychelles fisheries model inspires Marshall Islands

A delegation from the Republic of the Marshall Islands is in Seychelles on a study visit to gain first‑hand knowledge of the country’s fisheries sector, with a focus on port development, value‑added tuna production, and public‑private partnerships (PPPs).
The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Fisheries and the Blue Economy, Wallace Cosgrow, at Maison Collet yesterday. Following the meeting, the delegation met with the media, where secretary of state Alain Decomarmond and chief fisheries officer Beau Bilger outlined the purpose of the visit and expected outcomes.
