President Herminie reflects on deepening ties as outgoing Russian ambassador pays farewell call
President Patrick Herminie yesterday morning received the outgoing ambassador of the Russian Federation to Seychelles, Artem Kozhin, at State House for a farewell call marking the conclusion of the ambassador’s six‑and‑a‑half‑year tenure. Also present was the Minister for Foreign Affairs & the Diaspora, Barry Faure.
Ambassador Kozhin, who was accredited to Seychelles in March 2020 and has served as Dean of the diplomatic corps, expressed gratitude for the close working relationship between the two nations.
He described bilateral ties as historically positive, constructive, and optimistic, noting that in recent years cooperation had grown more profound, elevating relations to a new level.
