Sunrise Tang Soo Do opens its doors

 History was made for martial arts in Seychelles last weekend when Sah bah nimLindy Bedier became the country's first woman to head a karate school following the soft opening of Sunrise Tang Soo Do at the Anse Etoile community centre.

The occasion marked not only the fulfilment of a lifelong dream for the 1st dan black belt holder, but also a significant milestone for the local martial arts community, opening a new chapter for women in leadership within the sport.

The soft opening came days after KSN (chief instructor)Bedier was elected as the new chairperson of the Seychelles Women and Sports Association (Swasa), the national organisation that promotes the participation, leadership, and empowerment of women and girls in sports across Seychelles.
