Assembly approves accession to Budapest Convention on Cybercrime |23 July 2026
The National Assembly has resolved to accede to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime after a motion tabled by the leader of government business, Hon. Sylvanne Lemiel, was unanimously approved during yesterday’s sitting.
Presenting the motion, Hon. Lemiel said cybercrime – offences committed online through computer systems – has become increasingly common, affecting people of all ages, from the elderly to children.
