Bringing the voice of women farmers to the forefront

A new chapter has begun in Marie-Michelle Vidot’s journey in agriculture. Recently elected as the women representative on the Seychelles Farmers Association’s executive committee, the Praslinoise now hopes to use her new role to champion the needs, challenges and aspirations of women in this sector.
But her connection with agriculture goes back to her childhood. Long before taking up a leadership position, Ms Vidot was introduced to farming through her father, Michel Vidot, who cultivated the land at Amitié, Praslin, and inspired her to develop a lifelong passion for agriculture.
