As part of Parliamentary Service Week 2026, the National Assembly hosted its second ‘Youth Talk’, this time on the theme of ‘Environmental Consciousness’. The session brought together young people, leaders, and stakeholders to discuss pressing environmental issues and the role of youth in shaping solutions. In this interview, the chairperson of the Committee on Environment, Fisheries & Tourism, Speaker Azarel Ernesta, explains why the theme was chosen, what the Assembly hopes young people will take away, and how the institution plans to follow up on the ideas raised.
