Foresters retained their President’s Cup title with a 3-0 victory over PTL Bazar Brothers
Labrosse double powers Foresters past PTL Bazar Brothers in season opener
Brandon Labrosse scored twice as Foresters opened the new season in style, retaining their President’s Cup title with a 3-0 victory over PTL Bazar Brothers at Stad Linite on Saturday.
Labrosse struck in the 10th and 79th minutes, while Imra Raheriniaina added Foresters' second in the 60th minute as the Absa Premier League champions got the better of the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) Cup holders in the traditional season-opening showpiece.
The match, which was attended by President Dr Patrick Herminie, Vice-President Sebastian Pillay, Youth and Sports Minister Kalsey Belle, Seychelles Football Federation chairman Elvis Chetty, club managers, football officials, and other invited guests, saw the two sides began a new domestic campaign with silverware at stake.
