Wee hours sponsored walk to bring human touch to patients left behind
Patient Solidarity is hitting the road before dawn on October 3 for its third pre-dawn walk, following the first on Mahé in October 2025 and the second on Praslin in April 2026. While the first two walks funded health promotional outreaches, this third walk shifts focus to direct patient support – answering members' calls for stronger advocacy after August’s AGM.
The ‘Glow for a Cause’ walk starts at 3am from Palais des Sports, covering 20 kilometres to North East Point Hospital and back. Proceeds will support ‘Our Left Behind’ – the elderly, bedridden, disabled, and isolated poor who cannot access the human touch they need, trapped by distance and reduced mobility.
