Christian Bastienne among just 15 participants selected across five FIA regions

Autosport Seychelles vice-chair Christian Bastienne has been selected to take part in the FIA Immersion Programme 2026, placing Seychelles among a select group of countries represented in the international motorsport development initiative.

Bastienne’s selection comes as Autosport Seychelles continues its second year as Seychelles’ national sporting authority (ASN) for the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), further strengthening the country’s involvement within the international motorsport community.

In an official letter dated June 16, 2026, FIA secretary general for sport Valerio Iachizzi confirmed Bastienne’s selection following what the FIA described as a “highly competitive selection process”.
