President Herminie extends warmest wishes to India on its 80th Independence Day

“On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Seychelles, and on my own behalf, I extend to you and to the friendly people of India my warmest congratulations and best wishes on the joyous occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day.

“As India commemorates this historic milestone, the people of Seychelles join you in honouring the courage, sacrifice and vision of those who secured the nation’s independence. The enduring values of democracy, unity in diversity and peaceful progress that have guided India’s journey since 1947 continue to inspire countries around the world, including our own.
