From plastic waste to little treasures: The story behind SeyTreasure
What began with collecting plastic waste from Seychelles’ beaches has grown into a small recycling business turning discarded plastic into attractive, useful products. German‑born Lara Gutser, who has called Seychelles home for nearly a decade, founded SeyTreasure in March 2024 to give certain types of plastic a second life. From bracelets and combs to keyrings inspired by Seychelles’ wildlife and landscapes, her work shows how waste can be transformed into something meaningful – and even beautiful.
