When every step matters: Shining a light on Duchenne |05 September 2026

For most children, running across a playground, climbing a set of stairs or getting up from the floor is simply part of growing up. But for a child living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, these ordinary moments can gradually become difficult challenges. A flight of stairs may require more effort. Running with friends may become harder. Tasks that once seemed effortless can slowly demand greater strength and support.
