Foresters face uphill battle after four-goal defeat in Angola
Foresters face an enormous challenge when they meet Wiliete again on Saturday, knowing that a place in the second preliminary round match of the TotalEnergies Confédération Africaine de Football Champions League is hanging by a thread after Sunday's 0-4 defeat in first-leg match, in Angola.
The Seychelles champions were comfortably beaten by a clinical Wiliete side at the Estádio Nacional da Tundavala in Lubango, leaving them four goals behind on aggregate and needing an extraordinary response in the second leg.
What makes the situation even more difficult for Foresters is that they will not be returning home for the decisive encounter, since their home ground, Stad Linite, does not meet the required Confédération Africaine de Football (Caf) standards for hosting the fixture, the ‘home’ leg will also be played in Angola.
