Victoria has a story to tell our visitors

Since moving to Praslin, my regular trips to Mahé have made me see Victoria differently. I sometimes miss the familiar streets, shops and energy of the capital, but I don’t miss the traffic, the rush, or how quickly a simple trip across town could turn frustrating.
What was once just a place I passed through on the way to an appointment, meeting or shop has become somewhere I stop to look around, noticing details I once overlooked. Distance has given me a new appreciation for the capital.
Victoria welcomes tourists every day, but how much of the city do they truly experience? Beyond the Clock Tower, the market and the familiar landmarks, is there enough to make a visitor slow down, explore its streets, discover its history and culture, and spend a full day getting to know the capital?
