Seychelles, Mauritius deepen ties at 14th Joint Commission

Seychelles and Mauritius have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across a range of priority areas at the 14th Session of the Seychelles–Mauritius Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation, held in Balaclava, Mauritius.

The three‑day session, from September 8 to 11, brought together senior officials and technical experts from both countries to review progress, assess existing legal instruments, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

Since the previous session, tangible progress has been made in several areas, including the signing of bilateral legal instruments during the State Visit of President Patrick Herminie to Mauritius in March 2026. Cooperation has also advanced in education, investment promotion, fire and rescue services, fisheries, agriculture, and culture.
