National Assembly strengthens capacity on climate change and energy legislation
On Friday, September 11, 2026, honourable members and Parliamentary Service staff took part in a capacity‑building workshop designed to strengthen parliamentary knowledge and action on climate change, climate adaptation, mitigation, and energy legislation.
The session, titled ‘Strengthening Parliamentary Action & Capacity: Climate Change & Energy Legislation’, was convened by the Climate Parliament and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (Unido) under the Parliamentarians for Climate Finance Project, funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The project supports parliamentarians in deepening their understanding of climate and energy issues while enhancing their ability to advance policy and legislative frameworks for a sustainable green transition.
