Real Maldive edge Equator in thrilling season’s opener encounter
Defending Seychelles Football Federation Beach Soccer Cup champions Real Maldive have started the new season on a winning note after edging defending league champions Equator 7-6 in a thrilling Curtain-raiser encounter at the Roche Caïman Arena on Saturday.
The two sides produced an entertaining and closely fought contest, with neither able to gain the decisive advantage during regular time. After a high-scoring battle, the match finished 6-6 at the end of regulation time, forcing the game to go into extra-time.
