Public Health Laboratory achieves historic double ISO accreditation, setting new national milestone
The Seychelles Public Health Laboratory (SPHL) of the Public Health Authority in the Ministry of Health has officially achieved international recognition by securing dual ISO accreditations from the Southern African Development Community Accreditation Service (SADCAS).
This achievement marks a historic turning point for the country’s healthcare infrastructure and diagnostic capabilities.
The SPHL has successfully attained ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for its specific testing parameters. With this milestone, it becomes only the fourth laboratory in Seychelles to earn this prestigious standard, following in the footsteps of the Seychelles Bureau of Standards (SBS), the Drug Quality Control Laboratory of the Health Care Services in the Ministry of Health and SOCOMEP quality control laboratory serving the Fisheries sector.
