Conservationist Jeremy Raguain joins ICS Board of Trustees

Seychellois conservationist and international environmental policy advisor Jeremy Raguain has joined the Board of Trustees of the Island Conservation Society (ICS).

Dedicated to strengthening the resilience of island communities and ecosystems, Mr Raguain currently serves as the director of the Italy–Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) fellowship programme. In this role, he trains and mentors emerging leaders from small island developing states (Sids) in multilateral environmental negotiations, ocean diplomacy, and climate policy. His leadership of the programme follows his own completion of the fellowship in 2022, which came on the heels of five years of working with the Seychelles Islands Foundation (SIF). It was during his time with SIF, including hands-on field conservation work on Aldabra Atoll that his commitment to protecting Seychelles’ natural heritage was anchored.
