Mass held in solidarity with Defence Forces

A special Mass was celebrated yesterday morning at the St Paul’s Cathedral in solidarity with members of the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF), following the recent maritime tragedy involving personnel of the force.

The service, which began at 9.30am, was organised after the cancellation of this year’s Police Week activities. It brought together members of the Seychelles Police Force, the SDF, and members of the public in a collective act of prayer and support.

The mass followed the September 16 explosion aboard the Seychelles Coast Guard patrol vessel Andromache, which left two sailors missing and prompted an official police and state investigation.
