Brandon Schmidt crowned champion as historic bodybuilding contest returns
After a long absence, the Mr Regatta bodybuilding contest returned to the stage on Saturday, with Brandon Schmidt claiming the coveted Mr Regatta 2026 title at the Mont Fleuri National Theatre.
The return of the once-popular competition formed part of the annual Regatta Festival and was co-hosted by the Seychelles Bodybuilding and Physiques Federation (SBBPF) and Round Table Seychelles.
Four categories were contested during the evening – open bodybuilding, novice bodybuilding, novice physique and bikini physique – with mostly new faces stepping onto the stage to test themselves in front of the judges and spectators.
