Alexandria Faure appointed acting Clerk of the National Assembly
Alexandria Faure has been appointed acting Clerk of the National Assembly, effective October 1, 2026.
The announcement follows a statement by Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Azarel Ernesta, during Tuesday’s sitting of Parliament.
In a statement, the National Assembly expressed its sincere appreciation to former Clerk, Tania Isaac, for her years of dedicated service to the institution, particularly during her tenure as Clerk of the National Assembly. It also conveyed its best wishes for success and fulfilment in her future endeavours.
Ms Faure, who previously served as deputy Clerk, takes up the acting role with extensive experience within the Parliamentary Service. The Parliamentary Service Commission said it is confident that her knowledge, professionalism and dedication will support the continued effective administration of Parliament.
The National Assembly noted that all official correspondence addressed to the Office of the Clerk should continue to be sent to clerk@nationalassembly.sc, which will now be administered by Ms Faure.
The institution also congratulated Ms Faure on her appointment and wished her success in her new role.
