Au Cap hold firm at the summit

Au Cap United remain at the top of the Seychelles Football Federation League One standings following an action-packed matchday five.

The leaders were held to a 1-1 draw by Mont Buxton United at Stad Popiler, but the point was enough to take them to 11 points from five matches.

Au Cap are still unbeaten, with three wins and two draws, and have scored 15 goals while conceding just three, with their +12 goal difference being the best in the league.

Au Cap took the lead in the 61st minute through Romario Randriamanjaka, who made it 1-0 and appeared to have put his side on course for another victory.

Mont Buxton, however, refused to give up and found an equaliser four minutes from time when Jean Rokotondramananitra scored in the 86th minute.

The result means Au Cap remain two points clear at the summit, while Mont Buxton move to nine points and remain unbeaten themselves.

Mont Buxton United have now recorded two wins and three draws from five matches, giving them a perfect unbeaten record.
