Seychelles’ women’s team back more experienced
Seychelles’ women’s national handball team returned home on Monday evening after competing in the Africa Zone 7 tournament of the Women’s International Handball Federation (IHF) Nations Trophy. The tournament took place at the Gymnase Couvert du Complexe Sportif in Antananarivo, Madagascar, from September 29 to October 4.
Five teams competed: hosts Madagascar, Réunion, Comoros, Mayotte and Seychelles who finished at the bottom of the standings. The teams played a single round-robin, with the final standings determined by the points earned. Réunion won the tournament, beating hosts Madagascar 25-17 in their final match to finish top with nine points and claim the title.
