National Assembly joins stakeholder talks on climate governance

From October 8 to 9, 2026, members of the National Assembly of Seychelles and Parliamentary Service staff participated in a stakeholder workshop on Seychelles’ National Framework for Climate Change.

The workshop was organised by the United Nations Environment Programme (Unep) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Energy & Natural Resources.

The National Assembly delegation included deputy Speaker Hon. Egbert Aglae, leader of government business Hon. Sylvanne Lemiel, Hon. Gervais Henrie, Hon. John Hoareau, Hon. François Adelaide, acting Clerk Alexandria Faure, Environmental Policy Implementation Committee (EPIC) members Emma Didon, Savrina Pirame, Lucy Michel and Gillian Samson, as well as assistant Committee Clerks Vanessa Sinon, Petra Tirant and Shanira Jean-Baptiste.
