COVID-19 - Implications for voter registration |28 March 2020

Members of the public are informed that further to the press release of March 16, 2020 in relation to precautionary measures towards containing the spread of COVID-19, the Electoral Commission Seychelles, under advisory from the public health commissioner, will continue the current cease in all customer-facing services (i.e. new registration voters’ register, changes on the voters’ register and verification on the voters’ register) until April 21, 2020.

This is to help in continued social distancing and to curb potential transmission risks of COVID-19.

Voters can still check their names on the 2019 voters’ register through SMS number 9600.

The Electoral Commission Seychelles will update any change in the measure on April 21, 2020 and apologises for all inconvenience caused.
