Wearing face mask to be mandatory onboard SPTC buses as from July 8, 2020 |27 June 2020
In line with the department of health’s directive, the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) is informing commuters and the general public that effective Wednesday July 8, 2020, it would be mandatory for commuters to wear face mask prior to boarding any public bus and throughout the journey.
Commuters without a face mask will not be allowed to board public buses.
All primary, secondary and post-secondary students travelling on board designated school buses and public buses will have to wear face mask as well.
Children under five (5) years of age are exempted from wearing face mask.
With the introduction of this new directive, obvious benefits will be;
a) increased capacity on board buses and
b) faster transit time for passengers.
In this time of ‘new normal’, SPTC management is humbly appealing for the support and cooperation of all passengers.
