The cabinet gave its approval during a virtual meeting yesterday chaired by President Wavel Ramkalawan.

Cabinet gave its approval in principle for phase one of the proposed reclamation of an area of the seabed of approximately 24.9 hectares in area at Cascade. Final approval will be based on outcome of a class 1 environmental impact assessment.

Cabinet also approved in principle for the reclamation of 8,387m2 of land seaward of parcel V12348 at Providence by Seafront Development Limited. Final approval will depend on the outcome of class one environmental impact assessment.
