Minister Radegonde shaking hands with Mr Vizer
Foreign Affairs and Tourism Minister Sylvestre Radegonde met with the president of the International Judo Federation, Marius Vizer, on Sunday July 4.
Minister Radegonde met Mr Vizer in the latter’s office in Budapest, Hungary, on the sidelines of his official visit to Hungary on the second leg of his three-nation tour of Central Europe, which also took in Vienna (Austria) and Zagreb (Croatia).
During their hour-long meeting, the two men discussed cooperation between the International Judo Federation (IJF) and Seychelles. They agreed that international cooperation between the two must be stepped up. To this end, Mr Vizer informed the minister that just after the Tokyo Olympics, he will see to it that IJF and relevant authorities in Seychelles work towards the implementation of judo in schools’ programme which is already showing excellent results in other countries where it is underway.
During his meeting with Mr Vizer, Minister Radegonde was accompanied by Ralph Agrippine, chargé d’affaires a.i. at the Seychelles embassy in France.
