Ombudsman, SHRC to conduct joint investigation

The Ombudsman and the Seychelles Human Rights Commission have announced they will be conducting a joint investigation into the administrative decisions leading up to and during the incidents at Montagne Posée Prison.

This will also include an investigation into the use of force employed by public authorities and their officers and whether these actions were in accordance with constitutional and international standards.
