All female crew leaves Seychelles

A flag off ceremony was held yesterday morning for the departure of Indian Armed Forces Sailing Vessel (IASV) Triveni, which was anchored in Port Victoria, at Ile Du Port. The vessel with an all-women crew is bound for Mumbai, India.
It was the chief of the Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF), Major General Michael Rosette and the Indian High Commissioner to Seychelles, Kartik Pande, who under the rhythm of the SDF brass band, had the honour to flag off the departure of the small sailing yacht comprising six women from the Indian army, navy and air Force. This was done at 9.55am.
Also present were the deputy chief of Defence Forces, Brigadier General Jean Atala; Chief of Staff, Colonel Michael Hollanda; other SDF senior military personnel, as well as senior officials from the Indian High Commission, high-ranking military officers from India and representatives from the Indian Association of Seychelles.
