Seychelles and Thailand identify multiple areas of collaboration to strengthen diplomatic ties
The ambassador-designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Seychelles, Morakot Janemathukorn, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, at Maison Quéau de Quinssy, yesterday.
Cooperation in the fields of tourism, in horticulture between the Seychelles Parks and Garden Authority (SPGA) and its Thai counterpart, and trade were the main highlights of their discussions.
The two diplomats touched on the possibility of sharing information and capacity building in the field of tourism between the two countries – a sector in which Thailand excels.
Ambassador-designate Janemathukorn suggested collaboration in two specific fields – community tourism, as well as wellness and medical tourism.
