UNDP resident representative congratulates Seychelles on outstanding performance in the Human Development Report 2025

Seychelles’ outstanding performance published in the UNDP’s Human Development Report (HDR) 2025 was the highlight of the discussion between the resident representative of the UNDP for Mauritius and Seychelles, Amanda Serumaga, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Sylvestre Radegonde, on Tuesday June 3, 2025 at the Maison Quéau de Quinssy.

Ms Serumaga handed a copy of the report to Minister Radegonde and congratulated the Seychelles’ government on its ranking – 54th globally and 1st in Africa – and for its scoring of 0.848 on the Human Development Index (HDI), which places Seychelles in the Very High Human Development category.
