Health Champions Cup reintroduced

The Health Champions Cup is being re-introduced at this year’s School Athletics Competition taking place tomorrow at Stad Linite.

The announcement was made yesterday by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Education during a press conference at the Red Roof Building. It is in line with the national campaign, ‘Stop Obesity’. The Health Champions Cup is an initiative to promote and reward healthy behaviours during the Schools Athletics Competition and aims to encourage and reward healthy eating, physical and mental well-being, and hydration among students.

Details about the award were given by the director for Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Section, Patricia Saminadin; director of Family Health Programme, Vereine Louis-Marie; principal nutritionist Stephanie Desnousse; and manager of the School, Adolescent and Youth Health Programme, Stephanie Charlette.
