Amos Ferley sets new 50m backstroke record time of 27.34 seconds
Young swimmer Amos Ferley of Aquafins Swimming Club, has rewritten the record books, setting a new national record in the men’s 50m backstroke with a time of 27.34 seconds. He broke the previous record of 27.39 seconds, held by Benjamin Lo-Pinto set on March 31, 2000 during a competition in Long Island, United States.
Ferley’s achievement came during the 2026 National Age Group Swimming Championships organised by the Seychelles Aquatics Federation (SAF) at the National Swimming Pools, Roche Caïman.
