“On the occasion of Aeronautical Information Services Day, I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the dedicated team within the Aeronautical Information Services Office of the Seychelles Airports Authority, whose professionalism and commitment continue to underpin the safety, efficiency, and reliability of air navigation services in Seychelles and within the wider aviation community.
“Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) remain a fundamental component of aviation safety. The timely provision of accurate and reliable information to pilots, air traffic controllers, and aviation operators is essential for safe and efficient flight operations. While much of this work is carried out behind the scenes, its importance to global aviation safety cannot be overstated.
“As the sector evolves, Seychelles continues to support the international shift from traditional AIS towards Aeronautical Information Management (AIM), a more modern, data-driven approach that enhances accuracy, quality, and digital exchange of aeronautical information. This transformation is key to strengthening the resilience and efficiency of our aviation services in line with global standards.
“This day also provides an opportunity to recognise the longstanding dedication of AIS staff, whose years of service have greatly contributed to the development and credibility of the aviation sector in Seychelles. Your expertise and commitment remain deeply valued.
“At the same time, I wish to encourage our young people to consider the aviation sector, and in particular AIS, as a meaningful and rewarding career path. This field offers opportunities in technology, data management, quality management systems, and international collaboration. The future of aviation depends on skilled and passionate individuals who are ready to embrace innovation and uphold the highest standards of safety.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, I extend my gratitude to all AIS personnel for their continued service and wish you a successful AIS Day celebration.”
