Honouring Praslin’s PE teachers for shaping youth sports |21 July 2026

Physical education teachers from Praslin’s primary and secondary schools, including Vijay International School Praslin, were honoured during a recognition ceremony on July 18.

Organised by the Department of Inner Islands Affairs & Community Delivery in collaboration with the office of Grand Anse Praslin’s elected member, Hon. Alvin Grandcourt, the event was held as a gesture of appreciation for the educators’ commitment to school sports.

The ceremony took place at the Oasis Hotel, Restaurant & Spa, attended by Minister for Local Government & Inner Islands Eveline Rose, Hon. Grandcourt, principal secretary for Inner Islands Affairs & Community Delivery Denis Antat, and district administrators Chantal Souffe (Baie Ste Anne) and Syldova Volcère (Grand Anse).
