Ministry clarifies circumstances surrounding viral child video

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Family & Equality has clarified that a young child featured in a video circulating on social media was found to be healthy following a medical assessment, with no evidence that the child had been given any illicit substance.

The ministry said it became aware of the video, which was accompanied by comments suggesting that the child had been administered an illegal substance, and immediately initiated an inquiry through its Social Services Division in collaboration with the Seychelles Police Force.
