Absa Bank Seychelles launches Google Pay, enabling contactless payments via smartphones |07 November 2026

Absa Bank (Seychelles) Limited has become one of the first banks in the country to introduce Google Pay, allowing customers to make contactless payments using their smartphones and other compatible devices without the need for physical bank cards.

The new digital payment solution, developed in partnership with Google and Visa, was officially launched on Thursday afternoon at the Capital City building in Victoria, marking another milestone in the bank's efforts to modernise payment services and expand access to secure and convenient digital transactions.
