Craysey Golf – a new experience offered to kids and adults |25 July 2023

Craysey Golf is a new form of entertainment launched by the young and dynamic Sudhan Raja, most commonly known as Raja, at Le Gotha Restaurant at Eden Island.

Craysey Golf is basically a mini golf court with nine holes and different level of difficulties. “This kind of entertainment is usually called mini golf or crazy golf. That’s why the name Craysey. It’s the first of its kind in Seychelles and it is more a social entertainment and one does not need any skills,” said Raja.

Being a mobile event, Craysey Golf will once a month be at Le Gotha and once a week it will be in a different place on Mahé. “On August 12, it will be at the Gran Kaz and all the dates will be communicated on the Craysey page. As they are portable courses, they can be hired for personal events such as birthdays and it can be played by people of all ages,” added Raja.

Being the first to venture in this kind of business, Sudhan Raja shared that he was at first quite “scared to invest in this new venture. I contacted many big companies and I was shut down and they told me that this idea will not work in Seychelles. But you cannot tell without trying and here I am trying this new entertainment in Seychelles. I am sure people in Seychelles will enjoy the Craysey and already I have been approached by some parents for some crazy parties,” said Raja.

The game

The players have to navigate through an array of holes, filled with different loops, ramps and tunnels accommodated with different themes such as a pirate ship or other fairy tale characters.  

They have to complete each hole with as less strokes as possible. Players have to put all their scores on a card and see who the winner is after nine holes.
