Allen Micock

Former sprinter Allen Micock passes away

Christmas was not so Merry for the Micock family for they lost a dear member.

Former sprinter Allen Micock passed away on Christmas day – December 25 – at the Seychelles Hospital.

Born on February 7, 1957, Micock was aged 66 years old. His body will lie at the Padayachy’s funeral parlour next to the Good Shepherd’s church in Mont Fleuri for viewing as from 12 noon on Thursday December 28 followed by church ceremony at the St Paul’s Cathedral at 2pm.

Micock was known to be a good 100m sprinter with the Mont Buxton athletics team alongside teammate Vincent Confait. He often lined up for the 110m and 400m hurdles races.

After putting an end to his career, Micock took up track and field officiating.
