Botanical gardens and bioversity centre re-open |27 August 2020

The National Botanical Gardens Foundation (NBGF) wishes to inform members of the public and visitors to the Seychelles that the Botanical Gardens at Mont Fleuri and the Biodiversity Centre at Barbarons have re-opened under strict guidelines from the Public Health Authority.

Visitors have to adhere to the new measures to ensure protection against Covid-19.

At the entrance gate, screening will be conducted and all visitors will have their temperature checked. They will need to sanitize their hands before entering the premises. Details such as address and phone numbers will be logged in the log book to enable contact tracing if the need arises.

The management of NBGF is encouraging people visiting the gardens to maintain social, physical distancing and avoid crowding.

“Nature is the therapy that we need during this difficult stressful period, so come and enjoy the Gardens in the new normal,” says a communiqué from the NBGF.
