Members of the FPAC and Assembly secretariat
The Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC) chaired by the leader of the opposition, Sebastien Pillay, organised a meeting recently with the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), 2020 Development and the Seychelles National Parks Authority (SNPA). The FPAC focused on ensuring that public funds and assets are properly accounted for and economically used.
The FPAC also gave an interview to multiple media houses and explained that some of the issues discussed are sensitive and as such it will work closely with all the entities to ensure that where there is a need for further investigation that is carried out.
The FPAC remains committed to also ensure that the public is kept informed of matters which the committee has taken into consideration and as and when these do not conflict with the mandate of investigative agencies, hearings and meetings will be held in public.
The FPAC will like to reassure the public of its determination to maintain effective oversight on all matters relating to public funds.
