The Ministry of Transport has announced the appointment of Garry Albert as the chief executive (CEO) of the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA).
Mr Albert was appointed by the Minister for Transport, Antony Derjacques, on December 30, 2021, for a new mandate of three years effective January 1, 2022.
It is to be noted that Mr Albert was already the existing CEO of SCAA. Joining SCAA, he renewed the organisation’s vision with a core focus on evolving as an organisation, by pursuing international best practices, investing in technological solutions, driving financial growth and stability and achieving excellence in service delivery.
He pushed for a number of projects in line with this new business strategy such as the modernisation of the Emergency Operations Centre and the setting up of the Airport Management Centre.
Mr Albert effectively led SCAA through one of the most challenging times in its entire history.
His leadership ensured that SCAA could continue to function and successfully maintain business continuity at our airports.
His decisive actions also ensured that SCAA was able to safeguard staff salaries and retain 100% of its workforce.
The Ministry of Transport wishes Mr Albert the best with even more success in these three years ahead.
