Essay writing competition winners rewarded |05 April 2022
On occasion of International Women’s Day, the High Commission of India had organised an essay writing competition on the theme ‘My female role model’. More than 100 entries were received from people of all ages especially from school students.
A prize giving ceremony was held on Friday, April 1, 2022.
High Commissioner General Dalbir Singh Suhag spoke about ‘Mothers’ being the best female role models that most participants had written about, as they are the most selfless ones who put the lives of their children and family before everything else.
The competition was held for two categories. The first prize for the under 16 years category went to Ruhi Sree Pandu Rangan and the second prize went to Haille Denis. For the 16 years and above category, first prize went to Chiara Amelie Mangroo and the second prize went to Soumya Satheesan.
All participants received certificates of appreciation.
