United Seychelles congratulates India on her Republic Day |26 January 2023
The President of United Seychelles, Dr Patrick Herminie, has sent a letter of congratulations to the high commissioner of India to Seychelles, Kartik Pande, on the occasion of India’s 74th Republic Day being celebrated today, January 26.
Dr Herminie’s letter reads:
“I would like to convey my warmest congratulations to you and that of the people of the Republic of India as you celebrate the 74th Anniversary of your Republic Day.
“India has a glorious diverse history and a rich heritage. It has achieved universally acknowledged successes in many fields as it enjoys well-deserved prestige in the global arena.
“This very important date in your history reminds us all of the value of the Constitution and remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who fought valiantly to forge a better life for the people of India.
“Our political heritage is common on many fronts especially with the struggles against colonialism, and this have helped to consolidate the strong relationship between our two countries.
“The United Seychelles party looks forward to more engagement and conveys its gratitude for the excellent bilateral cooperation that exists between our two countries.
“Once again, Your Excellency, good will, peace and prosperity to your beloved country and people on this special occasion.
“Please accept the assurances of my office’s highest consideration.”
