Ambitious dominates chart with four songs, with one on top

Renowned reggae artist hailing from Praslin, Ambitious had four songs on Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation’s Paradise FM chart last week, with ‘Nouvo Ladres’ sitting at number one.

The song had entered the chart at number five the previous week and made a big leap to the top spot within two weeks

It was followed by another of Ambitious’ song titled ‘Mazin Ou’ in second position, up from third the previous week. The song has spent 13 weeks on the chart, including five at number one.

‘Mon Zorye’ by MV lost some ground, dropping from first spot to third place, while Jones Camille’s ‘Bondye Mizerikord’ also slipped from second to fourth position. The spiritual song has spent 14 weeks on the chart including five at number one.

Cusmun’s ‘Soulmate’ climbed one step from sixth to fifth spot, leaving the number sixth place to new entry, ‘7 Desanm’  by siblings Isis and Isham, that talks about the December 7 incident that marred the country.

In the number seven spot also saw another new entry titled ‘Kontan Ou Parey’ by Ambitious featuring Farhine, while MV’s second song on the chart, ‘Celebration’, slipped four spots from fourth to eighth place.

New entry, ‘Mon Leker’ by Ambitious sat at number nine, and ‘Rann Mwan Tou’, by Channel Francourt featuring Giorgio Bello closed the chart at number 10, after spending eight weeks on the chart.
