One inmate of the Montagne Posée prison lost his life, while nine others have been hospitalised, as a result of the riot on Thursday.

According to deputy Commissioner of Police Francis Songoire, the exact circumstances surrounding the inmate’s death, and the cause of death were yet to be determined.
