Four firefighters from Praslin promoted to higher ranks

Four firefighters from the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency Praslin station were officially promoted yesterday afternoon during a special ceremony.

Peter Cherry, the officer in charge of the Praslin station was the first to be promoted from station officer to assistant divisional officer. Mr Cherry also received a long service award for having clocked 35 years in firefighting this year.

Sub-station officer Daniel Antoine has been promoted to station officer, assistant section leaders Deen Lenclume and Andrew François were both promoted to section leaders.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the deputy chief fire officer of the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA) Jones Madeleine. During the ceremony, firefighters who took part in several courses, both locally and in South Africa, were presented with their certificates.
